Super Eagles Can Go Far At AFCON – Didier Drogba

Super Eagles Can Go Far At AFCON – Didier Drogba – 9ja2nice media for Super Eagles Can Go Far At AFCON – Didier Drogba.

The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire football legend Didier Drogba believes that the Super Eagles of Nigeria have the potential to go all the way and win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, currently taking place in his native Ivory Coast.

Drogba’s remarks follows Nigeria’s impressive 1-0 victory over the hosts, secured by William Troost-Ekong’s penalty. A result that shocked many given the perceived strength of Jose Peseiro’s team.

During an interview monitored by Official54fx, the former Chelsea forward admitted that Nigeria could go as far as reaching the finals despite not being among the favourites.

He said:

“They can go far. But we [Ivory Coast] still have to finish before them.”
