Ice Prince Early Life Before The Fame
Panshak Henry Zamani better known by his music name ‘Ice Prince’ is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, stage performer and actor born on the 30th of October, 1984 in Minna, Niger State. His family moved to Plateau state by the time he was two years old. He attended St. Murumba College and the Science Tutorial College in Jos. He got admitted into University of Jos to study Zoology but couldn’t finish due the death of his father in 1999.
He has a son named Jamal with Bimbo Babatunde.
Ice Prince Music Career
His love for music started while he was in high school, he started composing rap songs and performed at his school’s social events. He joined a singing school group ‘The Ecomog Squad’ in 2002 but it didn’t go too well as the group dissolved in 2003.
Ice Prince didn’t give up though, he went on to join another singing group known as ‘The Loopy Group’ alongside with other artists like M.I., Jesse Jagz, Eve, Ruby and Taz.

Ice Prince’s musical success began in 2004 when he released his first single ‘Extraordinary’ the single received a lot of air play in Abuja and Lagos and even made it to the top of several music charts. He followed up with another hit single ‘Rewind’ which also recorded huge success.
Ice Prince participated in the Hennessy Artistry competition, a competition organised by the Hennessy brand which supports urban and contemporary music, He came out first with his lead single ‘Badman’ at the end of the competition.
In 2010 he released his debut studio album ‘Everyone Loves Ice Prince’, it talked about the love people showed him when he lost his Mother. ‘Oleku’, his first single off his debut album was met with great reception throughout in Nigeria, the song was produced under Chocolate City. The album featured guest performances from Banky W, DJ Neptune, YQ, Shank, Bez, Naeto C, MI, Jesse Jagz, Reminisce, Mo’Cheddah, Funbi, Mobis among others. In 2012, he began frequent Collaborations Grips Boiz City producer Chopstix, releasing ‘Aboki’ in the summer of 2012. He later released Aboki (remix) , it featured Wizkid, Sarkodie, Mercy Johnson, MI and Khuli Chana.
In 2013 he released his second studio album ‘Fire Of Zamani’, it was primarily produced by Audu Maikori, Paul Okeugo. It had guest performance from Gyang, Shaydee and Morell.
He cited Notorious B.I.G, Rakim, Jay Z, Common,Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Lauryn Hill, MI and Jesse Jagz as his key musical influences. He was announced the vice president of Chocolate City in July 2015.
In 2015 he began making available singles from his third studio album. The eventual release of the album signified his first independent album outside Chocolate City record label. He revealed to Pulse he had Universal Studio in the US mix and master the album.
