Nigerian musical duo, Ajebo Hustlers have backed Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy’s controversial statement that the afrobeats genre has no lyrical “substance.”

The news has reported that Burna Boy, in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, asserted that 90 per cent of Nigerian musicians make music with no substance.

Reacting via their Twitter handle, Ajebo Hustlers said Burna Boy was on point.

Ajebo Hustlers tweeted: “Be mad at Burna all you want!! Still don’t change the fact that half y’all favs make music with no substance. Tbh [to be honest] that’s absolutely fair cause this is entertainment at the end of the day. But he’s saying the bitter truth.”
